It all started out of the love for coffee…

Muse Coffee was started by two friends with a passion for great tasting coffee. Everyday after teaching their Jiujitsu classes in Lyndhurst, NJ, Marcos and Abe would get some lunch on hunt for the best coffee around! They would get in their car and feverishly hunt Google Maps, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, and any other social media outlet for at least twenty minutes before the ignition was ever fired up. They would travel far and wide to surrounding towns and sampled espresso, cold brew, and all the best single origin coffee they could find near them. One of the all star places they found was a small coffee shop named Modcup. There, they found a brand new appreciation for high quality coffee as that is what Modcup specialized in. Single origin coffees(Ethiopia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico) rated as high as a 96 on reputable coffee cup’ers scales were a brand new experience for them and this literal liquid gold would spill into their cups. That is when they knew that had to open up a cafe, and they had to sell Modcup coffee.

They abide by the idea that coffee brewing is a craft, an art form. It takes skill to make a delightful espresso. The barista level matters just as much as the coffee they are cooking. Just like anyone can purchase a fast car, but not everyone could win a race with it. We promise to deliver high standards on a regular basis when it comes to brewing espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, matcha, single origin coffees, and everything else on the menu!
