French Press Brew Guide

In this guide, we are using an 8-cup French Press” Our ratio is 50g(coffee) to 700g(water)

What you’ll need:

  • A dope coffee Blend (Check out our friends at Greenvilleroasters.com)

  • Goose neck kettle

  • 8-cup French press

  • Any food scale

  • Coffee grinder (hand grinders are cheaper but harder to use. Burr grinders are more expensive but more accurate and consistent)

  • A timer (usually the scale has a timer)

LETS BEGIN

  1. Grind coffee at a course grind (50grams), similar to the size of breadcrumbs

  2. Heat your French press with hot water, than discard

  3. Add your coffee grinds

  4. Start timer, than add half the water to the vessel (350grams)

  5. At 1:00, stir about ten times. Try not to agitate the coffee too much!

  6. Add the rest of the water (350grams)

  7. At 4:00, press down slow and firm

  8. Lastly, immediately pour all coffee into a separate carafe to avoid over extraction
